CIA Unit No Longer Chasing Bin Laden
It was reported last week that the CIA unit, "Alec Station," charged with chasing down Osama Bin Laden has been closed. I kind of chuckled when I read this, because my first thought was, "Hmm, I wonder why. Oh yeah, chasing after a dead guy is kind of stupid."
Even thought this was reported, members of the CIA maintain that they are still trying to find a dead guy. CIA spokesperson Jennifer Millerwise Dyck said this, "The efforts to find Osama Bin Laden are as strong as ever. This is an agile agency, and the decision was made to ensure greater reach and focus."
That should make us all feel secure, shouldn't it? What's the government like to spend their time on? Winning wars that can't be on (drugs, terror, etc.), mistaking male friends for quail, learning how to speak the English language, and chasing a dead guy. Yeah, just by writing that, I feel extremely secure.
