So, what's the secret?

What's the secret, guys? What is it? Seriously? I ran into another situation tonight where the bad boy jerk triumphed over the nice guy.

I'm sick of hearing about it, sick of seeing it, and sick of experiencing it. So, what's the secret? If I ignore a gal, tune her out, pay more attention to the television set and other people than to her, will that be a good start? If I flirt with her friends, will that be a good way to make her jealous and latch on to me more? If I put her down enough so that she believes the insults, will that make it so she looks up to me as the dominant partner? How about if I don't call her back? Don't talk to her much? Never take her out anywhere? Make it so it's my way or the highway? Are these all steps in the right direction?

Being nice certainly doesn't work. Listening doesn't either. Neither does communicating well. Being easy to talk to doesn't seem to help. Loyalty and honesty don't seem to matter as much as they probably should. I'm all out of ideas. I may have to read the dummy's guide on how to be a jerk. Once I read that, then females will start seeing me more as boyfriend than friend material.
