Deja Vu
Anyone ever have a dream one night that comes true a day or two later? Or, even a small part of the dream? Doesn't that feel weird? The moment it happens when I'm awake, I have to look around, blink my eyes a bunch, just to make sure that I am indeed awake. It's such a bizarre feeling. I've had a few of those dreams this week and it's almost felt like "Groundhog Day" at times, where the dream world and the real world overlap so much, it's tough to differentiate the two at times. I didn't dream about blogging about this today, so that's good. I therefore know that I am truly awake right now. I have heard other people mentioning they've had similar dreams, so, I know I'm not crazy (not too much, anyway).
Sometimes, I just wonder what they mean. Why do I have them? Is there a way I can tell when I wake up that the dream will come true? Is it a gift? A burden? What is it exactly?
Just a few nights ago, I was awoken by a dream where a person stole the face of a radio in a car and ran off with it. The next morning, I received an e-mail from my father and guess what happened to his car that previous night? The face of the radio was stolen. When I read about that, I was thinking, "Wait, what? That happened? Didn't that just happen? Oh, no, that was a dream. So, that actually happened?" Very odd stuff I tell you. It's quite an unusual sensation when the dream world connects with and predicts what will happen in the real world.
