Hillary Praises Bush?

Yeah, there were headlines regarding the praises yesterday. The senator was asked what the president's best quality or feat as president. She gave the president two compliments.

"He is someone who has a lot of charm and charisma. And I think in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 I was very grateful to him for his support for New York," Clinton responded.

Some consider this to be a big deal, but why? The president does seem likable at times (not as a president). He's easy to laugh at and kind of sticks himself out waiting to get laughed at. It's like when a family member or friend says something stupid, knowing that you're going to come back with a wisecrack. The president puts himself into that position very often. Intentional or not? That's debatable.

Also, it's not as if Bush and Clinton differ too greatly on certain issues, the war on terror, in particular. That could prove to be a problem for Clinton if she runs for president in the '08 election.
