A New Low For The President

What am I talking about? Approval ratings. Bush's approval in the USA Today/Gallup Poll has dropped three percentage points in one week from 34% down to 31%. Only four presidents have registered lower ratings: Truman, Nixon, Carter, and Dubya's daddy.

The liberal support for Bush is at 7%. It's three touchdowns higher with moderates, at 28%. Conservatives? That may be the most surprising stat of all, as they've dropped to 52%, a new low for Bush and only 68% of Republicans support the president, another low.

With Bush's new pick for the CIA to replace Goss, in Hayden, already stirring debate amongst conservatives and liberals alike, it's unlikely that Georgie will see his approval rising anytime in the near future.
