NFL Commissioner

Is the NFL truly seeking a Republican associated with President Bush for Commissioner? First, they went to Condoleeza Rice and then, they went to Jeb Bush. Who's next? John Ashcroft? Colin Powell? Oh God help us, Dick Cheney? W. himself? Football is my favorite professional sport, but they're trying to structure things too greatly. They're even getting strict with touchdown celebrations. Pretty soon, quarterbacks will be wearing flags on both sides of a belt and the defense will only be able to bring them down by yanking off one of the flags. Please, let's not ruin the sport of football. It's structured enough as it is without Cheney firing rifles at players who get flagged or at Chad Johnson during a touchdown celebration. Let's not take all the fun out of the sport. Fun=fans, fans=tickets, tickets=money. Through transitive inference, fun=money. As the fun factor decreases, so too will the popularity.
