Week 14 NFL Predictions

Thursday
Pittsburgh at Cleveland: This is a tough pick. Cleveland isn't as bad as their record shows and Pittsburgh isn't as good as they should be. I could see the Browns pulling it off, but am going to stick with the Steelers.

Sunday
Atlanta at Tampa Bay: The Falcons better not overlook the Bucs like they did the Lions and Browns. Last weeks' comeback victory was a big game for Atlanta and they should be able to build on that with a healthier defense.

Baltimore at Kansas City: With some extra days of practice following their disappointing Thursday night loss to the Bengals, I like the Ravens to bounce back at Arrowhead.

Indianapolis at Jacksonville: Indy has been having a tough go of it lately. It's hard for me to see them losing their third straight, BUT if I could see it happening, it'd be in a game like this.

Minnesota at Detroit: The Lions beat the Falcons, come close to beating the Patriots, but lose to the Cardinals and 49ers. With the game at home and there being a question mark at quarterback for Minnesota, I'm giving the slight edge to the Lions, but have a feeling I'll regret it later.

New England at Miami: The Dolphins won the first game of the series. Because of that, I have to believe Coach Belichick is going to be ready for this one. The Pats should win to split the season series.

NY Giants at Carolina: With Jake Delhomme being questionable at quarterback, I have a tough time picking the Panthers in this one. This is a huge game for both teams, so I don't see an excuse for Delhomme to miss the contest, but reports indicate that he's doubtful on Sunday.

Oakland at Cincinnati: Cincy is finally playing some solid football all around and Oakland is simply Oakland, finding ways to lose even when holding their opponent to negative net yards passing. I like the Bengals in this one.

Philadelphia at Washington: Philly gained a lot of confidence in their Monday Night win over Carolina. That should benefit them greatly this weekend in D.C. when playing against a Redskins team that has to win their final four games to have any chance at a Wild Card.

Tennessee at Houston: Tennessee is playing better football lately, especially on defense. They've already beaten Houston once this year and I have a feeling it'll turn into a clean sweep following Sunday's game.

Green Bay at San Francisco: Favre and the Packers are due for a good week, right? They got demolished last week against the Jets. Why not against the overachieving 49ers? Ahh, we'll see.

Seattle at Arizona: While Arizona is starting to play better football (that's not saying much), I have to go with the "healthy" Seahawks. I haven't been able to use those words in the same sentence for quite some time now!

Buffalo at NY Jets: Following their 31-point first half performance a week ago against the Packers, I look for the Jets to continue rolling offensively, especially at home.

Denver at San Diego: Jay Cutler's first two games: against Seattle and San Diego. Lucky guy! I like the Chargers to continue winning in a low-scoring duel with the Broncos.

New Orleans at Dallas: With the game at home, I give the Cowboys a slight edge. I also like how their offense matches up with the Saint defense more so than I like the Saint offense matching up with the Cowboy defense.

Monday
Chicago at St. Louis: The Rams have fallen and fallen hard and even with Rex Grossman's recent struggles on offense, the Bears are 10-2 and their defense should do enough to win the football game.
