Another Religious Cartoon

The Danish Mohammed cartoons gained much attention and we saw the after-effects of that. Now, a blogger in Singapore is under investigation for posting a cartoon mocking Jesus.

In the cartoon, Jesus appears to be a zombie biting a boy's head. The 21-year old office worker has since removed the cartoon and could face up to 3 years in prison.

It said in a police statement, "It is a serious offence for any person to distribute or reproduce any seditious publication which may cause feelings of ill-will and hostility between different races and classes."

I know their way of life is different than ours, but can you imagine how many people would be jailed in this country if we had the same type of government? Thank God we don't.

Heck, just last month, it was prohibited for viewers under the age of 16 to see "The Da Vinci Code," in fear that some may take the movie seriously.

I'm going to say a prayer of thanks tonight that I don't live in a place like that, because I wouldn't last an hour. Heck, with all the blogs, journals, poems, and manuscripts I've written, I may end up receiving a life sentence.
