Week 6 NFL Predictions
Sunday
Cincinnati at Tampa Bay: With the off week, the Bengals should be ready to take out the struggling Bucs. Look for tailback Rudi Johnson to have a solid game.
Cincinnati 28 Tampa Bay 14
Tennessee at Washington: Outside of Jacksonville, Washington has struggled with the good teams they've faced. Fortunate for them, they face the Titans this week.
Washington 31 Tennessee 10
Houston at Dallas: Dallas needs to find some answers on the O-Line to protect Bledsoe. He was sacked not one, not two, not three, but seven times against the Eagles last week. I highly doubt that the Texans will be able to get to Bledsoe nearly as much and because of that, Dallas should come out on top.
Dallas 24 Houston 10
Buffalo at Detroit: Buffalo needs to make a statement in this game after their embarrassing 40-7 loss to the Bears last week. It doesn't seem to matter how well the Lions play in a given week, they seem to find a way to lose in the end. The same should happen here.
Buffalo 24 Detroit 17
Seattle at St. Louis: With Shaun Alexander doubtful for the game and the game being played in St. Louis, I'm going with the Rams to take the NFC West lead.
St. Louis 24 Seattle 21
NY Giants at Atlanta: The one major constant this year for the Falcons has been their defense. End John Abraham and middle linebacker Ed Hartwell are expected back for this game. Because of that, I'm giving them the edge on Sunday.
Atlanta 24 NY Giants 14
Philadelphia at New Orleans: If the Saints find a way to win this game, I'll finally be a full-time believer. But, I just don't see that happening. Donovan McNabb should carve up the Saints' secondary from the first until the final snap.
Philadelphia 31 New Orleans 17
Carolina at Baltimore: With the Ravens struggling like they have been, Jamal Lewis not being consistent, and Steve McNair looking lost at times, I'm going to go with the Panthers here to win their fourth straight.
Carolina 17 Baltimore 10
Miami at NY Jets: With Daunte Culpepper, Joey Harrington, Marcus Vick, or Chris Berman as quarterback, it won't matter with the dreadful offensive line of the Dolphins. Chad Pennington should rebound nicely from his poor showing last week against the Jaguars.
NY Jets 24 Miami 10
San Diego at San Francisco: I'd like to take the 49ers in this one, but I HIGHLY doubt that. I can't see them stopping LT. I can't see them stopping Antonio Gates. Most importantly, I can't see them doing anything efficient on offense against that tenacious defense of the Chargers.
San Diego 31 San Francisco 7
Kansas City at Pittsburgh: It may finally be the week for the Steelers to get things going again and come away with a victory. The Chiefs are doing anything but playing great ball and the Steelers should take this one at home.
Pittsburgh 24 Kansas City 17
Oakland at Denver: The only positive here for Oakland is the fact Denver hasn't done much offensively this year. Even then, they'll lose.
Denver 24 Oakland 0
Monday
Chicago at Arizona: Let me check out this formula I've got here: Arizona's dreadful offensive line + rookie quarterback + best defense in NFL = big victory for Da Bears.
Chicago 28 Arizona 3
