Hillary Remark

Reported by the Associated Press on Monday, May 15th, Senator Hillary Clinton ticked off her daughter Chelsea when she stated that young people "think work is a four-letter word" to over 2,000 graduates at Long Island University on Sunday.

Chelsea called her mother and said, "Mom, I do work hard and my friends work hard."

Hillary responded with, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to convey the impression that you don't work hard. I just want to set the bar high, because we are in a competition for the future." She also noted, "Young people have a sense of entitlement after growing up in a culture that has a premium on instant gratification."

Sounds like a typical old person complaining about the young generation, doesn't it? A now grandparent may have been wild, drinking, partying, and doing who knows what all when they were a young adult, but when they grow up, that gives them the right to complain about what the youngin's are doing, regardless if they committed those same acts.

Whether a person is 15, 25, 35, 45, or 55, how many people truly enjoy their jobs? How many wake up in the morning every day with a smile on their face, wanting to hop right out of bed, and go to work? Bill worked pretty hard when Monica was around. Wait, no, he just sat back in his chair and let her do all the work. Dubya has put forth a lot of "hard work" as his numbers will indicate. Politicians are the hardest workers out there, aren't they? If that includes BSing, then yeah, they're in the elite class of hard workers. But, if BSing isn't included, then they may want to keep their traps shut when it comes to the topic of hard-working Americans.
